Dear all,
let me review what is expected for the upcoming weeks.
First, on Monday (May 3) we would like to ask you for a summary of the final deal, i.e., what's the substance of your negotiation outcome, preferably what are your final solutions to questions raised at the very beginning + anything else you consider as important.
The original questions raised for negotiations:
- Is the EU4Health Policy proposal sufficient?
- Shall there be common EU health policy, and shall there be a solidarity with
- vaccination distribution in the EU?
- How to avoid border closures? Or shall we live with them?
- Vaccination passports. Do we need them? Can we give passports to those who were
- vaccinated with doses that were not approved by the EMA?
- Conditionality of EU funding upon compliance with EU-wide rules?
Brief answers are enough!
(Usually, the EC team presents, but some input of other groups might be needed.)
Then, we'll have a debrief session.
Besides the summary of an outcome, you are not expected to prepare anything. In moodle, there's a "Compliance" assignment, but it's just for our grading.
Monday, May 10 - last lecture on the role of negotiations in politics + anything else what appears in our minds. You are expected to deliver essays on Monday 10, the essay instructions are available in syllabus and here https://dl1.cuni.cz/mod/assign/view.php?id=490152.
Hope this clarifies the questions you might have :-) .
