Hello everyone,
me and Vilem decided to make a very small intervention to your negotiations by a small piece of news (below).
Kind regards,

Unexpected coalition in Germany
(REUTERS)

Yesterday's leak of a communication from the German government that it might allow distinct climate goals for the EU countries provoked a joint reaction of representatives of German industry and environmental organizations. In an unprecedented common statement the representatives of the German car industry, manufacturing, chemistry, electronics, waste management and others, together with the representatives of ecological organizations urged the government not to sacrifice the EU's common climate targets.
The message of the heads of the German key industries was very straightforward: They recalled huge investments and commitment towards their competitiveness under the new climate goals which could be completely lost if some parts of Europe could continue with more CO2 demanding production.
Greenpeace already warned against regulatory leakage as well, and the trade unions are expected to present similar concerns about the German stance towards the EU's Green Deal soon.
Some of the social democratic members of the governments already presented their willingness to leave their seats if such position would receive majority support within the government.
