All the best
please, let us start reading Bergson's Introduction to Metaphysics, from the very beginning through page 68 of the pdf (I know that it sounds like a lot, but as you will soon realize, the pages are very short... Consider that the original French version is 50 pages total!). So, do not feel intimated by the amount of pages I am asking you to look over.
let us finish reading the essay "Introduction to Metaphysics" (see previous assig.) and start Matter and Memory (= "Preface").
please, start reading Matter and Memory (preface and first 30 pages of Chapter I).
NB: Read the preface carefully.
please, read--or re-read--what we discussed last time, and make your best to also finish Chapter I.
Let us finish Chapter I
let us start reading Husserl, notably, the Cartesian Meditations, §§53, 54, 55.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend
please, read (or re-read) what we were supposed to cover last time. We will go over my handout concerning the Cart. Meditations, and I will also introduce Ideas II...
let us finally start reading Ideas II on the structure and constitution of the lived-body. I would like to discuss §§35-39 on the role of sensations.
please, let us finish up the analysis of the lived-body, and of the transition towards the structure of the spiritual world.
