The required extent of knowledge for the final exam is determined by the textbook, the content of lectures and seminars, and the list of exam questions.
Pathophysiology course consists of 1 seminar every other week in winter semester (WS, 2nd year) and 1 lecture and 1 seminar per week in summer semester (SS, 3rd year)
Course of Pathological Physiology from Monday, 11st May 2020
Full-time teaching at the Institute of Pathological Physiology it´s cann´t posisble! We will continue distance learning in the Moodle system at MS Teams, where you can look to be in touch with your teacher.
On-site consultations of up to 15 people (ie 14 people) are possible. Students must expect signed honest data, meet hygienic conditions (covering the nose and mouth, waiting, etc.). Visitors will inform you about the possibilities of these face-to-face consultations; if they are interested, teachers can contact you and agree. Please do not visit the institute without the agreed moment of consultation. If you are interested in other students who participate in consultations or practical training of participants who are at the time of regular seminars (or other times by agreement), consultations or practical seminars are organized - in which case they can be informed.
It is possible to start enrolling for the exam in pathological physiology from 11st May 2020 at 8 pm. The dates are announced for the entire trial period. Some terms are marked "want to be online" - a distance form of the exam.
If you want to take the test remotely, request a 48-hour notice to Radmila Korhoňová, see information about exams https://dl1.cuni.cz/course/view.php?id=7461#section-7
If you will go to consultation or exam to our Departure you must have Statutory declaration.
Saturory declaration you can downland here.

One credit test is written at the end of summer semester and two credit tests are written during the winter semester. A failure to accomplish the requirements for the summer semester or winter semester credits will result in the additional examination of student's knowledge (re-test or oral examination). The result of all tests and examinations during the semester is entered in the “student card”, which is available to the examiners during the final exams and is taken in account in classification. Time limit for the test is 25 min. Count down is started when you start the test. When time expires your open attempts are submitted automatically.
Students who cannot attend the credit test seminar (illness or other serious excuses) have to sign for alternative test dates (contact: radmila.korhonova@lf1.cuni.cz).
The tests are “multiple choice”. Each test contains 20 questions and at least one answer is correct for each question. Individual answer is evaluated separately. Student receives a point for each correct answer with maximum of 100 points for the entire test. (see Limits at the bottom of the page)
Limits:
- Credit test limit > 60% (in each test of the semester)
- Exam test limit > 60 % (for classification excellent)

1 lecture/seminar every other week starting from week 2
Requirements for Credit:
· Participation at the pathophysiology course (80 % attendance, i.e. 1 excused absence)
· Understanding the subject matter (written test at 14th week of the semester)
Each student must prove the understanding of the subject matter discussed at the seminars and the lectures. Knowledge will be assessed during the last lecture using written test examination. A failure to accomplish the requirements for the summer semester credits will result in the additional examination of student's knowledge (re-test or oral examination). Students who cannot attend the credit test seminar (illness or other serious excuses) have to sign for alternative test dates (contact: ).

3rd year dentistry
1 seminar and 1 lecture every week
Requirements for Credit:
· Participation at the pathophysiology seminars (80 % attendance, i.e. 2 excused absences)
· Understanding the subject matter (2 tests written during the semester see schedule)
Each student must prove the understanding of the subject matter discussed at the seminars and the lectures. Knowledge will be assessed twice during the winter semester (See limits). A failure to accomplish the requirements for the summer semester credit will result in the additional examination of student's knowledge. The credit will be awarded at the time when student demonstrates a sufficient level of knowledge.

The required extent of knowledge for the final exam is determined by the textbook, the content of lectures and seminars and the list of the exam questions. The pathophysiology lectures and seminars do not cover all the topics required for the exam entirely. We expect students are able to apply knowledge gained while studying other subjects. Also we expect students to acquire part of the knowledge by studying individually.
All exam terms are announced during the 4th week of the winter semester. The exam dates is summer semester exam period will be added if required later on.
The enrollment for the exam pre-terms and exam period terms starts during the 5th week of the winter semester (the exact date and time is indicated in SIS).
Last term to take the exam in September is indicated at SIS (NO EXAM TERMS ARE ALLOWED FOLLOWING THIS DATE)
Enrolling for the exam and signing off from the exam
– Students can sign for the exam before he/she is awarded credit from the studied subject.
– The enrollment for the exam starts as indicated in the SIS.
– To sign for exam is possible at least 24 hours following the closure of the possibility to sign off.
– Student may take the exam only if he/she is signed for the term in SIS and has met all the requirements for the Pathophysiology exam, i.e.:
o Received credit for the winter and summer semesters
o Had passed the subjects required to continue with pathophysiology
– Student who fails to appear for exam without an excuse cannot enroll for the next term. Apology must be delivered to the head of the subject matter or authorized person of the department in writing or electronically. The apology should contain the explanation and appropriate evidence. The head of the subject matter may request clarification of the excuse if insufficient. Student is informed about the acceptance of the apology and that he/she can sign for another term.
Resit terms
– Student has the right for one exam date and two retake dates (total 3 terms) during the exam period. Extraordinary retake is not permitted. If the student does not use the entire exam possibilities (3 terms) within the listed terms he/she does not have the right for special examination date (Law act: SZŘ UK čl. 6, odst. 16).
– Exams cannot be held after the last examination date in September. Special or "dean" examination dates after listed official last exam date are not allowed (Law act: SZŘ UK čl. 6, odst. 16).
Course of the exams
Each exam, retake as well, consists of two parts.
1. Test part of the exam
– Includes questions from entire subject matter (summer and winter semesters).
– Students does not have to meet the exam test pass limit to continue with the oral part of the exam. The test results are taken into account in the exam assessment (failure to pass point limit result in a significant reduction of exam grade).
2. Oral exam
– Consists of 3 questions (1 general pathophysiology, 2 organ pathophysiology).
– Student who resits the exam for second time (third term) is examined by the committee of at least two examiners.
