    • On-line Work for Week 4:

    • The focus of this week are the Reading sections, Vocabulary (cause x make), Grammar - Comparison.

      Complete the task in the following order:

      1) Unit 3: Reading comprehension - pp. 28-29 ex. 2, 4

      2) Unit 3: Reading comprehension - pp. 32-33 ex. 3, 4+5

      3) Unit 3: Vocabulary - p. 34 - study the issue on using the two easily confused verbs (make x cause) - ex. 1, 2, 3, 4

      4) Unit 3: Grammar - Comparison - we introduced the topic during the Zoom session. Watch the additional video (see below) - Making comparison - instructive video and then study the rules in the text book - the summary of the rules is on pp. 122-123; then go back to the Key Grammar on p. 36 and complete the exercises 2, 4, 5; and the two exercises in the section Spelling (the changes caused by adding -er and -est) - ex. 1 and 2

    • Watch this video to revise the rules of making comparisons

    • I believe that you go through the exercises properly and regularly but still I would like to see your results. Therefore, I am going to add interactive exercises also for the previous weeks into which you will be asked to enter your answers from the on-line work. You can firstly check if your answers are correct, and then I can see that you really complete the required work. I also believe that you don't and won't cheat by copying the answers from the key. You would cheat yourself only.

      I am going to send you an email as soon as the exericises are ready so that you do not need to check the Moodle every now and then.

      4) Key Grammar Making Comparison - p. 36 ex. 2, 4, 5

      5) Key Grammar Spelling - p. 36 ex. 1, 2

      You can, of course, (or actually it is advisable to) prepare the answers in advance before you start the exercise.

      The completion of this exercise is required for the completion of the whole course.
