Now it's time for a real-life application of your skills and knowledge. Your task is to interpret a speech about economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic from Czech into English. Proceed as follows:

Interpreting preparation

• Use the vocabulary and economic knowledge from the first exercise.
• If you haven't read on the pandemic in English, go through a few articles to gain the basic vocabulary and get a feel for the discourse.

Interpreting

Interpret the enclosed speech from Czech to English.

• Focus on your English.
  • Use the correct collocations.
  • Do not overcomplicate your formulations - the KISS strategy is your best friend.
  • Think of your listeners - they need to be able to understand the key points of the speech.
• Record your interpreting.
