The course focuses on several fundamental concepts and topics in contemporary feminist political theory/ philosophy. The relation between the public and the private is explored by critical readings of political-philosophical canon. The issue of universalism and particularism is discussed by analyzing contemporary issues of multiculturalism and affective politics. The course aims at understanding of feminist political theory as a project in the field of democratic theory and emancipatory thinking, which it will examine in detail.
