When submitting work at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in the Student Information System (SIS), Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD theses are automatically checked for plagiarism. Thesis advisors are informed of the results of this check by an automatically generated e-mail. It is up to the thesis advisor to interpret the results.
Since October 2019, associate professorship theses are also checked. This check is carried out manually by the employees of the Faculty of Arts Library. This chapter provides a more detailed description of these checks.
