Do you know how many words you know. There are tests that can help you estimate it.

You will find a number of vocabulary size tests at this site:

Select the the Vocabulary Size Test. It estimates how many words of different frequencies you know. You will not have time in class to complete this test. Try the 5th level and do the whole test at home.

Below is the link to a new test that I recently found. It gives an exact estimate of vocabulary size, but I don't know how reliable it is. Try it out at home.
