I live in Poland and I have to say that organic food is not that popular, at least not to the students. Firstly because it's more expensive, secondly people who live in villages have an access to their own food that they don't have to buy. Often neighbours or family with a farm are giving out their food. But organic food was recently popularised, people want to eat healthier. There's more organic food in the shops.
The inflation is going up and people cant afford to live in the city. In the big city organic food may seen as a privilege to some people. The richest people already probably eat organic food. People don't really have to be encouraged to do it, if they had the possibility they probably wouldn't eat the cheapest and bad quality food.
