The speaker opens the presentation with a pun and immediately has the audience's attention and interest. The talk is perfectly cohesive as the speaker uses introductory and other phrases to organise the talk and to help the audience follow it. Another way to help the listener feel drawn into the talk is the occasional use of questions and language that regards "YOU" (You might now think...).

The presentation is about the importance of sleep as the "most powerful elixir of life". Matt Walker illustrates it by exposing the effects of sleep deprivation on the brain and the body systems.
