Final essay

For each class of the second (seminar) block, you'll find a related topic of an essay. It is up to you to select a topic for an essay.

A) Why did integration in Western Europe fail?
B) Racism in the United States: Is there a chance for a brighter future?
C) Did the Syrian refugee crisis teach Europe a lesson? 
D) Is Australia a model country regarding attitude toward migrants? 
E) What are the roots of xenophobia in Czechia?

Two essential conditions apply: (1) although an opinion piece, your essay has to draw on a theoretical approach discussed throughout the course and display a solid knowledge of the related literature; (2) you may NOT choose topics related to your presentation topics.

Essays are supposed to have 1000 -1200 words and be submitted by 10th June (via Moodle). Later submissions will be penalized.
