w2 - Seminar work (OPT)

Record yourselves at home reading the short text provided below. Ideally, use your mobile phone, or record it directly into the computer using a microphone. Save the recording as a WAV or MP3 file (you might need to convert it from your phone's format).

Task for next week: After loading your sound file, create a new TextGrid by the 'Annotate...' button, with a single interval tier called "text" (leave the second box empty!). Copy what you've just read into the tier as a whole. If you prefer, you can first insert boundaries after each sentence, and copy the sentences one by one. This might help you move around the recording more easily. Up to you!

Remember to save the TextGrid ("Save as text file..." with the extension .TextGrid).
