    • Zkouška UNIcert II zakončuje stejnojmenný program UNIcert II – Akademická angličtina pro vysoké školy. Zaměřuje se především na aktivní dovednosti, tedy psaní a mluvení, a zároveň testuje i dovednosti receptivní, tedy poslech a čtení s porozuměním.

      Ke zkoušce je možné přihlásit se pouze po absolvování minimálně 120 hodin prezenční výuky v kurzech JC FF UK včetně povinného blokového týdenního kurzu UNIcert II, který je vypisován před termínem zkoušky ve zkouškovém období letního semestru.

      Skládá se z písemné a ústní části.

      Písemná část (60 bodů) – celá písemná část zkoušky probíhá bez slovníku

      • poslech s porozuměním (cca 30 minut - 10 bodů)
        - 1 nahrávka cca 5 minut, přehrávána dvakrát
        - 10 otázek
      • čtení s porozuměním (60 minut - 20 bodů)
        - 1-2 texty v rozsahu 1200 – 1500 slov
        - 20 otázek
      • vlastní písemný projev (60 minut - 30 bodů)
        - jedna úloha v rozsahu 300 – 400 slov
        - výběr z minimálně 3 témat
        - hodnotí se obsah (max. 6 bodů), struktura textu (max. 8 bodů), použití gramatických (max. 8 bodů) a lexikálních (max. 8 bodů) prostředků)

      Ústní část (40 bodů)

      - ústní část skládají dva studenti současně, výjimečně jen jeden student- zkoušku vykonávají studenti u Zkušební komise, která je složena ze dvou vyučujících JC FF UK
      - zkouška trvá 30 minut, čas na přípravu je 30 minut
      - ústní část se zaměřuje na obor konkrétního studenta a je podpořena texty z oborů humanitních a společenských věd
      - v rámci třicetiminutové přípravy dostane student zadaný text, který se vztahuje k jeho studovanému oboru, v rozsahu 1-2 normostrany

      - ústní část má dvě části
      - samostatný ústní projev – 2 úlohy
      o student se představí, představí svůj obor, studium apod.
      o prezentace zadaného textu, kterou si připraví během přípravy
      - interakce – 2 úlohy
      o studenti spolu vedou rozhovor o studovaném oboru a/nebo textu, který student představil; v případě, že zkoušku vykonává jen jeden student, je tento rozhovor veden se zkoušejícím
      o rozhovor zkoušejícího se studentem – rozhovor se opírá o informace z textu

      Kritéria hodnocení ústní části
      - plynulost projevu včetně správné/srozumitelné výslovnosti (max. 6 bodů)
      - přesnost vyjadřování (výběr a použití gramatických (max. 8 bodů) a lexikálních (max. 8 bodů) struktur)
      - obsah (max. 10 bodů)
      - interakce se zkoušející/m (max. 8 bodů)

      The exam UNIcert II completes the programme UNIcert II – Academic English for Universities. It focuses especially on active skills, i.e. writing and speaking, and at the same time also tests the receptive skills, i.e. listening and reading comprehension.

      It is possible to register for the exam first after participating in at least 120 lessons of face to face lessons in courses of the Language Centre at Faculty of Arts, including the obligatory one-week course which takes place before the exam itself in the examination period of the summer semester.

      The exam consists of two parts – written and oral.

      Written part (60 points) – the whole written part is without a dictionary

      • Listening comprehension (30 minutes – 10 points)
        o 1 recording approx. 5 minutes, played twice
        o 10 questions
      • Reading comprehension (60 minutes – 20 points)
        o 1—2 texts of 1200 – 1500 words
        o 20 questions
      • Writing (60 minutes – 30 points)
        o one essay of 300 – 400 words
        o choice of at least 3 topics
        Evaluation focuses on: content (max. 6 points), structure of the text (max. 8 points), use of the grammar (max. 8 points) and lexical (max. 8 points) means

      Oral part (40 points)

      - two students take part at the same time, exceptionally one student only
      - the examining board consits of two teachers from the Language Centre of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University
      - the exam lasts 30 minutes, preparation time is also 30 minutes
      - it focuses on the field of studies of the particular student and is supported with the texts from the human and social studies
      - within the 30-minute preparation time the student gets a text which is relevant to their field of studies, of 1-2 standard pages

      - the oral part consists of two parts
      o presentation – 2 tasks
      the student introduces him/herself, his/her field of studies, studies as such etc.
      presentation of the text which the student prepares during the preparation time
      o interaction – 2 tasks
      a dialogue between the two students about their field of studies and/or the text which the student introduced; in case there is only one student taking the exam,
      the dialogue will be between the student and the examiner
      a dialogue between the student and the examiner – based on the information from the text

      Criteria of the assessment of the oral part
      - fluency including the accuracy and correct pronunciation (max. 6 points)
      - the choice and usage of grammar (max. 8 points) and vocabulary (max. 8 points)
      - content (max. 10 points)
      - interaction with the other student and the examiner (max. 8 points)
