When? January 24, 2019, anytime between 9AM and 6PM.
How long? 120 minutes
What and how?
There will be four questions addressing following topics:
1)Buddhist Cosmology and Soteriology: worldview and ideas of salvation (Awakening, Nirvana etc.)
2) Buddhist Soteriology: the meaning of death from the perspective of Buddhist doctrine,
3) Rituals of Death: how is death reflected in rituals
4) Death and Ethics: what is a Buddhist stance on abortion and suicide?
How to study?
Review the texts and other materials we studied during our course. Try to formulate answers to the above mentioned topics (1-4) as if you were to explain those to someone who never heard of Buddhism. Think of examples from the materials we studied.
