This course prepares the students for the BA Thesis Seminar course within the Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) program and equips them with the qualitative research methods skills. It is particularly recommended for those intending to write their BA theses within the tracks of comparative politics and/or political economy based on qualitative research. Students will gain an understanding of the strengths and limitations of various qualitative methods in political science, learning to critically evaluate research designs. The course places emphasis on theory-driven case study methods, alongside qualitative approaches to data collection and analysis. Additionally, the course guides the students how to apply each method or the integration of multiple methods within their own research projects.
