Course EU Migration Policies is designed for Master students of Faculty of Social Sciences, enrolled in Czech or visiting MA programmes. It offers a basic overview of the complex framework of EU migration policies. During the lessons, students will familiarise with the basic terminology on migration, international legal framework relevant to protection of migrants, and the development of EU migration policies in primary as well as secondary law, with special focus on the asylum agenda. Aside giving presentations and participating in discussions, students will also put the theory into practice through their own experience as an asylum seeker, as well as asylum officer.
