This course will be fully taught online in the winter semester 2020..
The seminars are discussion-based, with discussions on reading of advanced research on current issues in grammaticalization. In seminars 8-11, I will leave 30-40 minutes at the end for work on the abstract.
Homework takes the form of reading of advanced articles and writing discussion posts, uploaded on Moodle. The discussion posts should be between 300 and 500 words, and should be a critical analysis with arguments of the article(s). Any questions you are left with can be posed here too, as well as interesting thoughts.
Discussion posts are to be posted on Moodle before midnight Tuesday. The students must have read all the discussion posts before class (Thursday 15:50).
Class no. 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 will be led by students, the schedule of this will be decided in the second seminar.
