Introductory Video and Presentation with Comments

As you might be now used to, watch the introduction video first. There is again the video script, but try to watch the video without it at least once. Then watch the two presentations. Do not forget to prepare the materials for the tasks and notes you would like to take during the presentation(s). If you need to, go to the grammar guidebook and to the dictionary (see the links). After you go through everything you need, go to the section with exercises.

Jak jste již asi zvyklí, podívejte se na úvodní video. Opět máte k dispozici přepis videa, zkuste ale alespoň jednou shlédnout video bez přepisu. Poté si projděte dvě prezentace. Nezapomeňte si připravit materiály na úkoly a případné poznámky, které byste si chtěli během prezentací udělat. Pokud bude třeba, jděte do gramatické příručky a slovníčku (viz odkazy). Poté, co si vše projdete, můžete přejít do sekce se cvičeními.

Exercises - Units 3 and 4

In this section you will find 3 exercises, each with several tasks. There are no time limits for any of them as there is some reading and listening.

1) Exercise 1 - practises the past (difference between the past simple and past continuous)

2) Exercise 2 - practises the verb patterns (ing-form or infinitive with to)

3) Exercise 3 - practises future (difference between present continuous and "going to")

Do not try to complete the exercises before you study the previous section. If you fail (there is still the minimum requirement of 60% correct answers) return to the particular grammar and study again.

V této sekci jsou 3 cvičení, každé s několika úkoly. Nejsou nastaveny časové limity, protože ve cvičeních je čtení textů a poslechy.

1) Exercise 1 - procvičeuje minulý čas (rozdíl mezi minulým prostým a minulým průběhovým časem)

2) Exercise 2 - procvičuje slovesa (ingový tvar a infinitiv s to)

3) Exercise 3 - procvičuje vyjádření budoucnosti (rozdíl mezi přítomný průběhovým a vazbou "going to")

Nedělejte cvičení před tím, než si prostudujete předchozí sekci. Pokud u cvičení neuspějete (požadavek na minimálně 60 % správných odpovědí), vraťte se k dané gramatice a prostudujte si ji znovu.

Přídavná jména popisující pocity:

1) Watch the YouTube video about emotions, before you do prepare the handout so that you can complete the Czech translations (you can also add the pronunciation). After you do so, you can go to the dictionary to check.

1) Podívejte se na video na YouTube o emocích, před tím si ale připravte handout, abyste si mohli během sledování doplnit české překlady (případně i výslovnost). Poté si můžete překlady zkontrolovat ve slovníčku.

2) Take the exercise from the coursebook Navigate B1 Pre-intermediate.

2) Udělejte cvičení z učebnice Navigate B1 Pre-intermediate.

Look at the presenation and the page in which the adverbs of manner are introduced. There is a material from the coursebook with audio and then there is a link to a YouTube video, a very short video. As the video is without any comments, there is a recording you can use to listen to while watching the video. (Turn off the sound of the video).

Then there is a quick Exercise 5 - Vocabulary - Adverbs of Manner.

Podívejte se na prezentaci a poté na stránku, které představují příslovce způsobu. Naleznete na ní materiál z učebnice s audio komentářem a poté odkaz na video na YouTube. Jedná se o velmi krátké video a protože je zcela bez komentáře, máte zde i nahrávku, kterou můžete poslouchat během videa (vypněte si u videa zvuk). Poté je zde krátké cvičení - Exercise 2 - Vocabulary - Adverbs of Manner.

Aktivity (činnosti) na internetu:

At first have a look at the handout. There is a list of several activities we do online. Have a look at it and complete the handout with Czech/Slovak translations and/or your notes if you need. There are also example questions. They should show you how to use the vocabulary. Then you can take them as inspiration for your FORUM posts.

Then there is a FORUM for you to interact with each other. Choose some of the given internet activity, and discuss your internet activity in posts on this FORUM.

You need to start one discussion and post at least 2 answers.

Nejrve se podívejte na handout. Naleznete zde řadu činností, které děláme online. Podívejte se na handout a doplňte české/slovenské překlady a/nebo vaše poznámky, pokud je potřebujete. Na handoutu jsou i příkladové otázky. Ty by vám měly ukázat, jak dané slovíčko používat. Poté vás mohou inspirovat k vašim příspěvkům na FÓRU.

Poté zde naleznete FÓRUM, ve kterém mezi sebou můžete spolupracovat. Vyberte si nějakou internetovou činnost a duskutujte o této činnosti ve FÓRU prostřednictvím příspěvků.

Musíte začít jednu diskuzi a postovat alespoň 2 příspěvky (na libovolnou diskuzi).

The verb "get"

At first have a look at the page with some information on the verb "get" and learn some new vocabulary. Try to understand how the meaining of "get" can be guessed.

Then there are some exercises to introduce and practice some of many meanings "get" can have.

Nejprve se podívejte na stránku s informacemi ke slovesu "get" a naučte se nová slovíčka. Pokuste se pochopit to, jak můžeme význam "get" odvozovat.

Poté se podívejte na cvičení, která vám představí a procvičí některé z mnoha významů slovesa "get".

Listening and Speaking - telling and responding to a story

In this section you are going to listen to stories, learn some vocabulary and practise some writing.

V této sekci si poslechnete příběhy, naučíte se nová slovíčka a procvičíte si psaní.

At first look at an exercise 7 which is an assignment for you to look at pictures, think about the stories, listen to stories and upload your written answers to questions relating to the stories. 

Nejprve se podívejte na cvičení 7, což je psaný úkol. Podívejte se na obrázky a přemýšlejte o vyprávěných příbězách, poté si tyto příběhy poslechněte a nakonec odpovězte na otázky, které se jich týkají, a svou odpověď nahrajte. 

Then there is a writing assignment where you need to upload your written task.

Poté je zde úkol, kam nahrajete svojí psanou práci.

Writing an email:

At first have a loot at the presentation in which you have sample emails and focus on vocabulary.

Then procede to the writing assignment - Exercise 9 - Writing an Email

Nejprve si projďete prezentaci, ve které jsou příkladové emaily a slovní zásoba.

For the online consultation hours prepare the following materials. You can either print them, if you prefer working with paper version, or if you feel fine with the electronic version, you do not need to print. However, bear in mind that you will be working online which can complicate the work with e-version of the copy.

Na následující konzultaci si připravte následující materiály. Buď si je můžete vytisknout, pokud se vám lépe pracuje s papírovou verzí, nebo pokud se cítíte jistí v práci s elektronickou verzí, tisknout nemusíte. Nicméně, mějte na paměti, že budete pracovat online, což může práci s e-verzí kopie zkomplikovat.
