Before we look in some detail at ethical aspect of your theses you described in your activity, we need to learn a bit more about the ethical principles and standards of research. One relatively safe way to do so is to learn from the mistakes and failures of others. Unfortunately, there are many cases of research ethics violation.

Choose a case from the area of social sciences or from any other area that is relevant for you. Find more information about the case. Then create a new post in this forum and write a short paragraph (about five sentences) about the case, explaining what happened and what were the consequences. Provide a reference to resources you used if appropriate.
