Particular choices of the speakers:
The speaker’s presentation sounded pretty good. He used quotes from authors like Aristotle, schematics, maps and photos to support the speech. He also reported data and graphs of studies conducted giving value to what he says. I also liked the fact that he used technical-specific terms and made everything accessible to the public by inserting events and examples of everyday life.
What's the presentation about? :
The presentation talks about the fact that, although over the years humans have access to many more tools to simplify life, happiness has not increased. The video shows how the discovery of an approach to studying happiness has been applied through the use of the app "Track Your Happiness". Through a heterogeneous sample of 15000 people a great deal of data has been collected about the feeling of happiness and its causes at certain times. Through this study it was discovered that the phenomenon “mind wandering” is related to unhappiness and that people often experience it. This makes it an important phenomenon in the study of the equation of happiness.
