Completion requirements

Watch (at least) one of the following movies:

1. Day After (1984):  

2. Threads (1984)

3. The War Game (1965)

After you watch the movie, consider whether anything that you have learned during your studies so far was somehow useful for a deeper understanding of some aspects of that movie. Then write your reflection to the forum – a reflection of the movie from a standpoint of someone who has expertise in International Relations / Security Studies.

WARNING: All three of these movies contain highly disturbing, violent images (particularly the "Threads" movie, which is brilliant but likely the most horrifying movie I have ever seen). If you prefer not to watch any of these movies, read the attached article on the "nuclear taboo" and write an academic reflection of it instead.
