Storyboard (5 points) and Visuals (5 points)

Due April 2, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.

Directions:

Part 1: Create a storyboard as an outline for your tutorial.

§  Step 1 - Use the storyboarding tool of your choice (e.g., PowerPoint, Twine, Celtx, pen and paper [if you use pen and paper, just scan in your storyboard or take a picture of the final result]) to create a storyboard.

§  Step 2 – Your storyboard should have a clear Introduction, Body, and Conclusion. Consider also including assessment information. For a reminder about what kind of content should go into the parts of a tutorial (as well as a reminder about Storyboarding) see the Week 3-Course Slides. The Body of your storyboard should contain the most content. Please include at least 3 storyboard panels, or outline steps, in the Body of your storyboard.

§  Step 3 – On your storyboard, include the visual elements, such as graphics or videos, that you plan to include, along with any other content elements.

§  Step 4 – If your file is in a non-MS Office format, paste your storyboard onto a Word or Google document and upload that file.

Part 2: Create five visuals that you will end up using in your tutorial – you should include at least 2 different kinds of visuals. For example, a worked example and animations. Or an infographic and several screenshots.

§  Step 2 – Paste the visuals into Word or Google Docs

§  Step 3 - Label your visuals – what type of visual is it? In your description of your visuals make sure to indicate what type of visual it is – for example, an infographic, an animation, or a worked example.

§  Step 4 – More labeling - also indicate what kind of knowledge your visual conveys – for example, are you communicating procedural, declarative, or conceptual knowledge?
