Weekly outline

  • Introduction

    The course is intended for students who already have thesis projects registered in SIS and have an approved supervisor. Diploma Seminar II is usually enrolled as one of the last courses and is an aid to thesis writing. The purpose of the seminar is to successfully navigate the student to the completion of the thesis and its defence. Completion of the seminar, therefore, means that the student will have completed part of the thesis, and it will be evident that will have already completed and defended the thesis without any problems.
    In order to be awarded credit, the following is required:
    1. to have a fully finalised thesis project in SIS
    2. to have a clear theoretical background, an overview of the literature on the topic, formulated research questions and a clear methodology of data collection
    3. have at least partially completed data collection and analysis
    4. have an idea of what the data are likely to show and what the conclusions of the thesis will be.


  • 1st week

    Checking the quality of the diploma project in the SIS.
  • 2nd week

  • November 10

    Uploading part of the thesis - draft methodology and empirical part, which shows how the data is collected and analyzed. The data analysis must make clear the functionality of the method used and make it clear that the data will be demonstrable and readable by those interested in the research results. This part of the dissertation seminar must demonstrate that the student is able to carry out the empirical research they have set out to do.
