      Dear all,

      Due to the issues that came up while reading some of the previous texts, this is the new assignment for our next class on the concept of the Black Atlantic:

      1. WATCH THIS VIDEO ON THE CONCEPT (6 minutes)

      AND

      2.FIND (AND READ) A REVIEW OF THE ORIGINAL BOOK

      Using databases like EBSCO or JSTOR, find a review of Paul Gilroy's The Black Atlantic. Pay attention to the way the reviewer  summarizes the book's main points and whether they present any counterarguments.You can also look at less formal reviews online:in that case, think also about the target readership.

      I am leaving the book posted here: if it is interesting or useful for you, I would encourage you to read at least parts of it, for our next class, however, it is not required.
