The structure of the course follows the logic of preparation of the elaborate assignment of the Master's thesis and its project, which is the final output of the Seminar. The course provides students with a background in skills related to the preparation of a quality master's thesis project in the field of social sciences - focuses on working with scientific information, searching for and using it in their own work, which is a basic prerequisite for the formulation of a good research problem.

In addition to the preparation of the DP project, the course provides an overview of the areas necessary for the work to be done and relevant when it is being commissioned, ie data acquisition for work (existing publicly available data and own collection), basic analysis in SPSS software and summary of claims to DP itself, its structure, processing and content. Another aim is to provide students with a set of knowledge that will enable them to better navigate in the areas of quantitative and qualitative research.
